Widows and Orphans Understand Each Other
Mai knows grief. After losing her husband, she understood the ache of an empty place at the table, the strength it takes to keep standing, and the quiet pain people do not always see. Today, she carries that understanding into her calling as a Home Parent.
She cares for nine children, many of whom carry grief of their own. Some have lost parents. Some have been separated from family. Some arrive unsure how to trust, how to rest, or how to receive correction without fear.
Mai meets them with patience because she knows sorrow takes time. Her days are full of meals, school routines, laundry, prayer, discipline, sickness, laughter, and late-night needs. This is not simple work. It is holy work. Caregivers like Mai stand in the gap every day, giving children consistency when life has been unstable.
In her home, grief is not ignored. It is carried with faith, structure, and love. This is the ministry donors strengthen: widows caring for orphans, and God bringing comfort through faithful hands.
